The launching event of the "DonauMotor" project, June 4th- 5th, 2014, Sofia, Bulgaria

During June 4th – 5th 2014 took place in Sofia, Bulgaria, the launching event of the "DonauMotor" project where Automotivest Association is a partner.

The overall objective of the "DonauMotor – a platform to stimulate innovation in automotive, in the Danube Region" project is to develop an innovative and effective technological network for the economic area of the Danube in order to measure, on medium term, the increase of the companies investments in research and development by at least 3% of GDP.

The objective of the first phase of the project is to build an innovative technological platform as a transnational cluster for the economic area of the Danube. In this respect, the 6th partners involved will interact with 10 to 15 institutions concerned and other stakeholders.

Regarding the first stage of the project, it will include:

- Identify and analyze the activities and skills for clusters, technology centers and research facilities that exist in the upper and lower course of the Danube

- Determining the needs of innovation and innovation potential of enterprises

- Identify SMEs that are industrial technology leaders

- Preparation of a Memorandum of Understanding for 10 to 15 potential partners in order to form an effective alliance for research

The project was submitted within the call "Development and extension of innovative research and development with partners in the Danube countries" in February 4, 2013 launched by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research within the Federal Government Strategy for the internationalization of science and research and will be funded by government funds.
