Logistics Conference, March 5th 2013, Bucharest

On March 5th 2013 will take place at Radisson Blu, Bucharest, the Conference “Romania on track to become East-gate trade hub?”

The main subjects of the day:

Fiscal development. A new fiscal code was adopted recently, what are the benefits and what the downsides of this code are for the business community. Furthermore, in the past years a lot of effort was put in re-introducing a system of VAT deferment in Romania. Why has this not been implemented, given all the benefits this could have for attracting trade and new business to Romania.
Port Development. The Port of Constanta is a major factor in the development of Romania as an East-gate. What are the lessons from the Port of Rotterdam? How can a country attract trade with and through its port? What are the next steps planned by the Ministry? Privatization? Transfer of ownership to Municipality?
Intermodal transport. How can we develop the intermodal transport to facilitate transforming Romania in Europe's East-gate trade hub?
